DENVER, CO, Apr 14, 2026 – Accuris launched the Accuris AI Assistant that retrieves and processes licensed engineering standards and technical content, delivering citation-linked answers within engineering workflows.

The Accuris AI Assistant is embedded in Engineering Workbench and Accuris Thread, where it processes user queries and returns responses tied to specific clauses and sections from authorized sources. The system operates on publisher-approved content and links each response to the reference material.

“Engineering has reached a tipping point,” said Claude Pumilia, CEO of Accuris. “The volume and complexity of standards and technical requirements have outpaced traditional ways of working. Simply providing access to information is no longer enough. The next era is about delivering trusted intelligence at the moment of decision. With the Accuris AI Assistant, we’re bringing together licensed content, traceability, and AI to fundamentally change how engineers interpret and apply critical information – faster, more confidently, and with full accountability.”

From Searching Documents to Getting Answers

The assistant processes questions in natural language and retrieves relevant information from subscribed content.

Key functions include:

  • Citation-backed answers linked to specific clauses and sections
  • Clause-level query handling to identify exact requirements
  • Document summarization of technical standards
  • Interpretation of requirements in plain language for compliance workflows
  • Reference-linked outputs for reuse in engineering documentation

Purpose-Built for Responsible Engineering AI

The Accuris AI Assistant is used in engineering environments that require controlled access to standards, traceability, and compliance with technical requirements.

The Accuris AI Assistant operates within defined data controls:

  • Processes only licensed content authorized by publishers
  • Does not train on customer or standards organization data
  • Restricts access to content within each user’s active subscription
  • Provides traceable responses with direct references to source material
  • Supports engineering workflows without performing approvals or decisions

Faster Decisions. Lower Risk. Greater Confidence.

With the Accuris AI Assistant, organizations can:

  • Reduce time spent searching and interpreting standards
  • Minimize missed requirements and costly rework
  • Improve audit readiness with visible outputs
  • Accelerate decisions without risk

The Accuris AI Assistant operates in engineering workflows with standards compliance, documentation, and traceability requirements. It retrieves, processes, and references technical requirements across design, compliance, and audit workflows.
