TAIPEI, Taiwan, Oct 7, 2026 – Advantech has released the TPC-200W series, an Arm-based industrial panel PC powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing QCS6490 processor. The series supports local AI processing and Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC for human-machine interface (HMI), manufacturing and edge AI applications.

Advantech identifies the TPC-200W as its first HMI platform based on Dragonwing technology. The processor integrates a neural processing unit (NPU) designed to deliver up to 12 dense TOPS of on-device AI performance, an octa-core Qualcomm Kryo 670 CPU and a Qualcomm Adreno GPU running at 812 MHz. These components support HMI operation and local AI inference, which Advantech says reduces reliance on cloud connectivity.

The series also supports Linux Yocto and Android. Windows support extends Advantech’s Arm-based HMI portfolio to customers using Windows-based HMI software, legacy applications and existing operational tools.

Advantech is developing additional interaction capabilities using the Qualcomm AI Engine and Edge Impulse’s MLOps platform.

Planned features include:

  • Hands-free voice recognition for operators whose hands are occupied or gloved.
  • Camera-based personnel and equipment identification for site safety and access control.
  • Time-of-flight gesture recognition for touchless operation in hygiene-sensitive environments.

These features remain under development for a future TPC-200W AI model, using Qualcomm SDKs, the Qualcomm AI Hub model library and Advantech’s edge AI development resources. As per Advantech, local inference is intended to provide real-time responses without continuous cloud connectivity.

Advantech specifies an operating temperature range of -10°C to 50°C and shock resistance of 10G for 11 ms in accordance with IEC 60068-2-27. The company also lists an IP66 rating for dust and water protection.

The standard TPC-200W configuration is available now with 10.1-inch and 15.6-inch displays. The AI model featuring the planned interaction capabilities is scheduled to launch in Q4, 2026.
