CHATSWORTH, CA, Apr 28, 2026 – Aitech has introduced the U-C8600 and U-C8601 single-board computers (SBCs) for military and aerospace systems. The boards combine CPU, GPU, and AI processing on a single Intel Core Ultra-based platform and integrate a hybrid multi-core x86 CPU, GPU, and neural processing unit (NPU) to support real-time workloads in ground and avionics missions.

The U-C8600 and U-C8601 extend the U-C850X family and are based on Intel 14th generation Core Ultra technology. The systems deliver ~2.5x CPU and ~2x GPU performance. The architecture combines compute, graphics, and AI processing on a single board for edge deployment.

The U-C8600 and U-C8601 are SOSA-aligned systems designed for size, weight, power, and cost constraints. The U-C8600 targets I/O-intensive workloads, while the U-C8601 targets compute-intensive workloads. Both systems integrate processing, GPU, and AI capabilities in a compact form factor for operation in harsh environments.

“With SBCs specialized for both SOSA I/O-intensive and compute-intensive demands, Aitech is providing defense contractors and platform integrators with cutting-edge computing solutions needed to deliver intelligent, networked systems that keep them adaptable, innovative and ready for the challenges ahead,” said Boris Baer, CTO, Aitech. “These next-gen ruggedized SBCs combine high-performance computing with integrated AI and data processing acceleration, high-speed on-board connectivity and networking capabilities to turn data into real-time intelligence.”

The U-C8600 and U-C8601 support high-speed connectivity with 40 Gbps Ethernet and PCIe Gen4 interfaces for data transfer and networking. They include memory configurations and advanced security features. The systems are designed to process and transfer data while meeting SWaP-C requirements for defense and aerospace platforms.
