TROY, MI, Oct 27, 2025 – Altair has announced upgrades to the Altair HPCWorks high-performance computing (HPC) and cloud platform. The new release delivers faster discovery and efficiency through enhanced GPU integration and utilization, expanded AI and machine learning tools, and improved reporting capabilities that help users optimize the HPC environments. Altair HPCWorks 2026 connects AI, simulation, and cloud computing to deliver resource efficiency.
“The technology landscape is rapidly evolving, and we’re tailoring Altair solutions to support the latest AI, machine learning, data analytics, EDA, and even quantum workloads,” said Sam Mahalingam, chief technology officer, Altair. “Now as part of Siemens, we can push the technology even further, with the industry-leading Altair HPCWorks platform as the foundation of intelligent, data-driven computing.”
Powerful AI and GPU Integration
Altair HPCWorks is built for AI workloads, supports GPUs and Kubernetes connector. The 2026 release adds Jupyter notebook integration for AI and machine learning model training. GPU acceleration is central to data-heavy computing, and the platform includes tools for GPU discovery and performance optimization. Altair HPCWorks supports NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel hardware and gives IT administrators faster GPU setup and detailed reporting.
Paving the Road to Agentic HPC
AI tools in Altair HPCWorks help users manage computing tasks without advanced IT or scheduling skills. Agentic HPC automates job scheduling and memory allocation to improve workload efficiency. Altair HPCWorks includes AI-based memory resource prediction to simplify job submission and optimize resource use. Integration with Altair RapidMiner allows users to create custom AI models for individual workloads.
Hybrid Classical and Quantum Computing
Quantum computing is used with HPC to handle different types of workloads in science, engineering, and financial applications. The 2026 Altair HPCWorks release adds support for hybrid quantum-classical workflows. These workflows can detect changing data patterns, such as fraudulent credit card transactions.
Additional Highlights
New features to the Altair HPCWorks 2026 include reports, cluster dashboard enhancements, and integration within Altair HPCWorks and Altair solver and data analytics solutions. IT administrators can use an API to automate responses to cloud changes. Altair HPCWorks 2026 also includes updates to security, performance, and functionality.
