Luxembourg, Aug 11, 2026 – Artec 3D has introduced Artec Point II, a target-based handheld laser scanner for industrial metrology that captures up to 5.8 million points per second, more than double the rate of the original Artec Point. Accuracy remains certified at 0.02 mm.
The scanner projects 54 laser lines in ultra-fast mode and 17 parallel lines in hyperfine mode. A third, single-laser mode is designed for deep holes. Operators switch between the three modes with one button.
“Artec Point set a high bar for accessible, certified metrology. Point II raises it – more data in every pass, greater detail, and faster scans, with the same accuracy professionals have come to rely on,” said Art Yukhin, president and CEO of Artec 3D.
Artec Point II’s accuracy and repeatability are verified in an ISO-certified lab. The scanner is compliant with VDI/VDE 2634 and JJF 1951 standards. The scanner is palm-sized and can be operated one-handed. It carries an IP50 rating for dust protection and operates across a −10 to 40 °C range. Target industries include manufacturing, mold-making, energy and heavy industry.
Artec Point II integrates with Artec Studio, the company’s 3D scanning and processing software. It can be paired with other Artec 3D devices within a single project for reverse engineering and quality inspection.
Artec Point II is available through Artec 3D’s global network of certified partners. It replaces Artec Point in the company’s metrology lineup.
