HAUGALAND, Norway, June 4, 2026 – atNorth acquired 36 hectares in Haugaland Business Park for NOR01, a Norwegian data center designed for AI, high-performance computing (HPC) and hyperscale workloads. The site is expected to deliver 120MW in its first phases and scale to 350MW, with power availability projected for 2028.

The project expands atNorth’s presence into Norway and completes its Nordic footprint. NOR01 will be built to support high-density computing requirements, where power capacity, rack density and site infrastructure are central to large-scale deployment planning.

Power delivery for the site will be supported by two substations. One will be developed by Statnett, Norway’s transmission system operator, while Fagne, the regional grid provider, will develop the other. atNorth is also assessing heat reuse opportunities within Haugaland Business Park to improve site-level energy use and connect the data center with local infrastructure planning.

“Expanding to Norway has been a long-term strategic priority for us, and we’re proud to officially mark our presence across all the Nordic countries with the announcement of NOR01,” said Eyjólfur Magnús Kristinsson, CEO of atNorth. “Haugaland Business Park is a strong industrial region that offers the ideal combination of renewable energy, excellent connectivity, and a naturally cool climate, making it a highly attractive location for future-focused, AI workloads. We look forward to collaborating with the local community to deliver world-class digital infrastructure in a responsible way.”

“We are very pleased to welcome atNorth to Haugaland,” said Monika Lindanger, Mayor of Tysvær Municipality. “This project will not only bring in new investment and innovation to the region but will also support our local community through training and employment opportunities, our economy via sustainable industry development and our circular economy with beneficial heat reuse partnerships. We’re proud to be part of this next chapter in the Nordic data center evolution.”

The Norway project follows atNorth’s planned SWE04 site in Sollefteå, Sweden, as well as metro sites in Sweden and Finland. The company has also expanded two data centers in Iceland, adding capacity across the Nordic region for AI, HPC and digital infrastructure.
