COVENTRY, UK, Apr 29, 2026 – Aurrigo International has appointed former Gatwick Ground Services managing director Mark Gower as director of global airport operations, creating a new non-board role as the company shifts from airport trials to commercial deployments.
The newly created role will support the deployment of Aurrigo’s autonomous vehicle systems at airports as the company moves from proof-of-concept trials toward commercial operations.
The appointment is intended to support consistent delivery and a global operating model across airport projects. Aurrigo has deployments in operation and is now building the operational structure needed for repeatable airport programs.
Gower brings more than 25 years of experience in safety-critical aviation operations. He recently served as managing director of Gatwick Ground Services, where he grew the business from 340 to more than 1,200 employees. Before that, he held senior leadership roles at Aviator Airport Alliance, where he was responsible for approximately 8,000 employees across five UK locations. His experience includes regulated operating environments, large-scale operations, and profit and loss accountability.
“Aurrigo has already made strong progress in getting its technology into live airport operations. I’m joining at a point where there’s a clear opportunity to build consistency and scale from that foundation, and I’m looking forward to being part of that next stage of the journey,” commented Mark Gower, director of global airport operations at Aurrigo International.
Prof. David Keene MBE, CEO of Aurrigo International, added: “We are very pleased to welcome Mark to Aurrigo. His background in large-scale airport operations and delivery will be a strong addition to the team, as we continue to build momentum and move towards a more structured and scalable approach across our deployment program.”
