Aurrigo International will begin production of autonomous vehicles (AV) at a new 130,615-square-foot facility at Power Park in Coventry. The site will serve as the company’s U.K. base for engineering, autonomous vehicle development, and manufacturing operations. The expansion follows a £14.1 million capital raise at the end of last year to support capacity and facility build-out.

The facility will support production under a £6.28 million contract with Ultra Global, covering delivery of 25 autonomous guided vehicles (AGV). It also aligns with Aurrigo’s international hub and licensing program, which includes partnerships and manufacturing arrangements across Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the United States.

At full capacity, the Aurrigo new facility at Coventry is designed to produce more than 500 autonomous vehicles annually, supporting both domestic and export demand.

Prof. David Keene MBE, chief executive officer of Aurrigo International, commented: “This new Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Centre marks an important milestone for our business and our unwavering commitment to the UK, delivering investment in autonomous technology.”

“It significantly enhances our manufacturing and engineering capability, provides the capacity to scale in line with demand, and underpins our ambition to build a sustainable, capital-efficient platform for long-term growth.”

The Coventry facility includes installed IT systems, office space, EV charging infrastructure, and manufacturing equipment. The site also includes space for an on-site autonomous vehicle test track for validation, demonstration, and development testing.

Andrew Cornish, chairman of the board for Aurrigo, added: “This facility represents a significant step forward for Aurrigo as it continues to deliver on its stated growth strategy.”

“It reflects disciplined investment following the recent fundraise and provides the operational headroom needed to scale efficiently, support existing programs, and pursue further opportunities as the business develops.”

The move to Power Park supports Aurrigo’s engineering and manufacturing operations in the U.K. The Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing Center will provide design, intellectual property, and technical support under the company’s hub model, while regional partners provide capital and market access.

Aurrigo has deployed its autonomous systems, including Auto-DollyTug, Auto-Cargo, Auto-Shuttle, and the Auto-SIM planning tool, at 12 airports, including Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, Schiphol, Zurich, and Teesside in the UK.

David concluded: “As part of this next phase, we are actively seeking strategic partners to support our continued international growth, accelerate production scale-up, and help bring our world class manufacturing facility to full operational capacity.”

“We are really pleased to have secured a new home in Coventry, just a few miles from our existing site and, importantly, a place where we can create jobs for highly skilled people and the next generation of engineers and software specialists.”
