
HOUSTON, TX, Oct 20, 2025 – Axiom Space announced the appointment of Dr. Jonathan Cirtain as chief executive officer (CEO) while he continues to serve as president.

I also want to extend my sincere gratitude to Tejpaul Bhatia for his years of service to Axiom Space, as well as his contributions during his tenure as CEO, steering the company through a significant transition period.”
Dr. Jonathan Cirtain is a physicist and technology executive with experience in both the space and nuclear industries. Before joining Axiom Space, he held senior positions at BWX Technologies and led research teams at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. He also co-founded a machine learning company specializing in Earth observation. Dr. Cirtain holds a Ph.D. in physics.
