Uses automatic calibration and dual nozzles to control print process for home, studio, and office use

FRANKFURT, Germany, Apr 22, 2026 – Bambu Lab has introduced the X2D 3D printer, a dual-nozzle system with automated calibration and real-time process monitoring designed to reduce manual setup and calibration steps. Priced from $649, the printer uses dozens of sensors to track print conditions, adjust parameters during operation, and stop jobs before faults occur.

The X2D performs calibration before each print and manages the process without manual tuning. Users select a model and start the job, while the system maintains process control and completes the print cycle without further input.

The X2D printer uses two nozzles to separate model and support materials. This allows support structures to be removed without post-processing. The configuration supports complex geometries used in home decor, decorative elements, jewelry, toys, and fashion accessories.

The print chamber is enclosed and maintains controlled temperature conditions during operation. A triple-stage air filtration system captures airborne particles and reduces odors, allowing X2D be placed in living room, studio, or office.

The X2D operates with Bambu Lab software and materials, including Bambu Studio, Bambu Handy, MakerWorld, Maker’s Supply, Maker’s Lab, and the designer crowdfunding program. Filaments are profiled for specific hardware, models include validated print settings, and components are standardized to fit printed designs, supporting an integrated workflow from design preparation to part production.

Technical specifications of X2D Printer:

  • Build volume: 256 × 256 × 260 mm (single main nozzle) / 235.5 × 256 × 256 mm (dual-nozzle intersection)
  • Nozzle temperature: up to 300°C; chamber: up to 65°C
  • Triple-stage air filtration (G3 pre-filter + HEPA H12 + activated coconut carbon)
  • 31 sensors monitoring filament path, thermal environment, and safety
  • Optional Vision Encoder: accuracy down to 50 microns
  • PMSM motor with 20 kHz sampling rate
  • Noise level below 50 dB
