Bechtel has opened a new office in Gdańsk, Poland. The new office will support engineering, construction planning, and project execution for the AP1000 project in Choczewo, Poland’s first nuclear power plant. Located in the Alchemia business complex, the office will serve as an engineering and operations hub and will have capacity for expansion.
The Gdańsk site expands Bechtel’s presence in Poland following the opening of its Warsaw office in 2023. The Warsaw office will remain the company’s central hub in Poland, while the Gdańsk office will support project execution in Pomerania.
The new office will focus on local hiring, partnerships with Polish companies, and collaboration with universities like Gdańsk University of Technology. Bechtel is also pursuing local hiring, training, and supplier development initiatives aimed at participation by Polish companies in delivery of the plant and the nuclear supply chain.
