ProjectWise and OpenGround gain FedRAMP Moderate authorization for federal infrastructure delivery and geotechnical intelligence

EXTON, PA, Apr 30, 2026 – Bentley Systems has secured FedRAMP authorization at the Moderate Impact Level for ProjectWise, its connected data environment for infrastructure project delivery, and OpenGround, its geotechnical information management and reporting software, making both products available for U.S. federal agency cloud use.

FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) is a U.S. government program for assessing and authorizing secure cloud services used by the federal government. ProjectWise is Bentley’s connected data environment for infrastructure project delivery, while OpenGround manages geotechnical information management and reporting.

The authorization, sponsored by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), applies to federal infrastructure programs across transportation, water systems, defense, and environmental work. Federal agencies and project partners can use the products to manage project information, design data, geotechnical records, reporting workflows, and other cloud-based project delivery processes in a FedRAMP-authorized environment.

“The FedRAMP authorization signals Bentley’s longstanding commitment to trust, compliance, and safeguarding critical infrastructure information while improving how agencies securely share and manage project data in the cloud,” said Julien Moutte, chief technology officer, Bentley Systems. “ProjectWise and OpenGround provide a trusted digital foundation for federal infrastructure programs, connecting surface and subsurface intelligence in secure cloud environments to accelerate project delivery and improve infrastructure resilience, all while meeting the highest U.S. government security standards.”

ProjectWise Design Integration and OpenGround are now available for federal infrastructure initiatives under the authorization, with additional ProjectWise services to follow.
