VILNIUS, Lithuania, June 22, 2026 – Bentley Systems plans to increase its Lithuania workforce by nearly one-third over the next three years as it opens a new Vilnius office, expanding operation that currently employs about 300 people. The company is hiring in UX design, product management, and software engineering. Bentley said the expansion will support its European digital innovation work and build on Lithuania’s technology sector.
Bentley Systems has operated in Lithuania for more than 20 years. Engineering teams in Vilnius and Kaunas contribute to Bentley products, including ProjectWise for project delivery, SYNCHRO for construction modeling, and the iTwin Platform, which supports infrastructure digital twins. Software developed by Bentley’s Lithuanian teams is used in projects ranging like AI mega datacenters and transit networks, including the pan-European Rail Baltica high-speed railway.
“Our expansion in Lithuania is a testament to the incredible value our team has brought to Bentley Systems over the past twenty years,” says Julien Moutte, chief technology officer at Bentley Systems. “We have found a thriving ecosystem of innovation, a strong talent pool, and a collaborative spirit that has been instrumental in our success. By scaling our presence in Vilnius, we are tapping into a concentrated market of AI and software development expertise necessary to meet the global demand for intelligent infrastructure solutions.”
Bentley Systems also works with Lithuanian academic institutions, including Kaunas University of Technology and other universities, to bring digital twin technology into academic curricula. The programs ensure graduates get experience with AI-driven engineering tools.

Edvinas Grikšas, Lithuania’s Minister of the Economy and Innovation commented, “Bentley Systems’ decision to expand its Lithuanian operations speaks to the strength and maturity of our technology sector. When a global infrastructure software leader places some of its most strategic product development in the hands of Lithuanian engineers, it confirms that our talent is shaping technologies that underpin critical infrastructure worldwide.”
Elijus Čivilis, general manager at Invest Lithuania commented: “Bentley Systems’ long-standing journey in Lithuania is a compelling example of how international technology companies can build deep, lasting roots in our country. Their decision to grow the team by a third, and entrust Lithuanian colleagues with leading the development of products at the forefront of digital twins and AI in engineering, shows the kind of strategic role Lithuania plays in the global technology landscape.”
