PASADENA, CA, July 10, 2026 – Updates to Bluebeam Max, Studio, and Bluebeam’s web and mobile tools add PDF creation, markup, search, recovery, and AI integration capabilities for AEC industry.
The updates are designed at document handling, project visibility, and collaboration across design and construction workflows, for teams moving between office and field environments.
Bluebeam Adds Collaboration and Productivity Features
Bluebeam is adding web and mobile capabilities for creating PDFs, managing pages, and adding markups outside the desktop environment.

- Expanding search and project visibility. New filters for Studio files on iOS and markups on the web are to help users find project information while working away from desktop systems.
- Studio is gaining additional collaboration tools, including the ability to recover deleted Sessions and files. Bluebeam is also expanding global intelligent search to help teams locate project information and maintain coordination.
- Bluebeam Max includes AI integrations with MCP support for Claude, GitHub Copilot CLI, and AnythingLLM. The integrations allow users to generate markups, build custom columns, and update markup properties through connected AI tools.
ZGF Architects Cites Use of Bluebeam Studio Sessions
Bluebeam said early users are applying the tools in project environments where coordination and accuracy are critical.
Architectural firm ZGF Architects uses Bluebeam across its project workflow. During construction of PDX Airport in Portland, Oregon, the firm moved its workflow into Bluebeam Studio Sessions and shared digital environments, allowing stakeholders to mark up the same drawing set simultaneously from different locations.

Bluebeam is also adding talent and technology from mbue, a startup focused on preconstruction and document workflows. The move brings expertise in drawings, submittals, and construction-focused AI to Bluebeam, with the goal of strengthening Bluebeam Max and supporting AI-driven document workflows for construction teams.
