Bombardier Opens Component Facility in Moorpark, CA

Moorpark’s 46,000-square-foot facility builds components for next-generation business jets, expanding U.S. aerospace manufacturing. The site adds skilled jobs, modern equipment, and local production capacity to support future aircraft programs and regional economic growth.

U.S. aerospace manufacturing is expanding in California. Bombardier has opened its relocated component facility in Moorpark, producing parts for global 7500 and global 8000(1) business jets. The company welcomed Janice Parvin, chair of the Ventura County Board of Supervisors representing the fourth District, community leaders and its employees to join the opening ceremony on August 20, 2025.

The Moorpark site replaces Bombardier’s Los Angeles-area facility acquired in 2022. The 46,000-square-foot location employs 30 people and provides space supporting the company’s business jet production and engineering operations.

“The relocation of our component manufacturing facility was an important move that not only secures our long-term presence in the California but also expands our manufacturing footprint in the United States,” said David Murray, executive vice president, manufacturing, IT, Bombardier operational excellence system. “The new Moorpark facility reflects our commitment to both our employees and our customers. It stands as a testament to Bombardier’s dedication to cutting-edge innovation and offering high-quality jobs. The Moorpark site plays an integral role in Bombardier’s global manufacturing network, producing key components for the company’s  global 7500 and Global 8000 business jets.
