MAYNARD, MA, Mar 31, 2026 – Boston Micro Fabrication (BMF) has launched the microArch S150 series, a line of compact 3D printers for micro-precision additive manufacturing. The series includes two systems: the microArch S150 Ultra for higher-throughput production workflows and the microArch S150 for lab development and precision prototyping. The S150 series desktop systems support applications in microfluidics, fiber optics, biomedical devices, electronics, and advanced research.

High-Speed Performance and Micro-Scale Detail

The microArch S150 Ultra delivers up to 9x faster print speeds than the microArch S150 for prototyping, iterative design, and low-volume production of micro-scale parts such as microneedles, channels, nozzles, and chips. The system uses BMF’s projection micro stereolithography (PµSL) technology and produces micro-scale features for testing and validation with 25 µm optical resolution and ±3 µm positional accuracy. It supports layer thicknesses from 10-100 µm for fabrication of complex components with defined surface quality and dimensional accuracy.

Micro-Scale Workflow and System Configuration

The microArch S150 series addresses constraints in micro-precision additive manufacturing, including long print cycles, calibration requirements, inconsistent results, and reliance on large equipment. It supports deployment across lab, office, and industrial workflows with automated operation.

The microArch S150 series includes one-touch operation and automated setup that removes manual calibration. It uses preloaded parameters and a touchscreen interface for process control, supports high-viscosity materials, and integrates HEPA13 filtration for air quality. A UV-C sterilization system at 253.7 nm sanitizes the build chamber between print runs.

“Our mission is to make micro-precision 3D printing a more accessible technology for innovators across multiple industries and the microArch S150 Series is a true game-changer in enabling us to achieve that,” says John Kawola, CEO, BMF. “Designed to directly support customers seeking to accelerate their research and development without sacrificing quality, these systems remove long-standing barriers and make true micro-precision 3D printing genuinely accessible. By introducing this series, we are empowering users to easily and successfully create high-resolution parts with the speed and efficiency required for today’s fast-paced development cycles.”
