GREEN BAY, WI, June 30, 2025 – BW Converting’s digital initiative focused on fault anomaly detection has been selected for the Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Lab at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Developed in collaboration with the Accelerate digital services team and Barry-Wehmiller’s digital innovation group, the project represents a step forward in applying AI to industrial operations. It also reinforces the company’s involvement in Wisconsin’s growing tech ecosystem through its partnership with TitletownTech, an innovation hub supported by Microsoft and the Green Bay Packers. The selection opens new possibilities for AI-driven solutions in manufacturing.

Accelerate is BW Converting’s digital platform that integrates real-time machine data with technician insights. It enables users to interpret operational data and take corrective actions to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.

“At BW Converting, it’s not just about seeing the numbers – it’s about understanding them,” said Amber Stollfus, director, digital services and solutions, BW Converting. “That’s the power of Accelerate.”

Originally launched in 2020, Accelerate continues to evolve as a customer-focused solution. The development philosophy behind it is ‘Development should never stop’.

TitletownTech is the operating partner of the Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Lab in Milwaukee. They help potential participants define, refine, and measure the value of AI-driven solutions. TitletownTech provided BW Converting the support, infrastructure, and connections needed to submit their project to Microsoft for evaluation.

“TitletownTech has been instrumental in helping us manage communications with Microsoft and guiding us through essential processes. They’ve acted as the bridge between our team and the broader tech ecosystem,” said Stollfus.

The Co-Innovation Lab allows participants work with Microsoft engineers in a prototyping session to speed up their time to market and learn about the newest technology available.

“We believe our enthusiasm and strong vision for what Accelerate can do played a major role in our selection for this engagement,” said Stollfus.

Accelerate combines machine data with advice from experienced professionals. It offers more than a dashboard and gives users practical tools to act on what they learn. The service pairs data analysis with expert support for informed decision-making.

BW Converting’s leadership and the managing partners at TitletownTech want to raise awareness, support new ideas, and nurture AI-based projects across Wisconsin. Over time, the efforts will benefit BW Converting’s clients.
