TAJĘCINA, Poland, Sep 3, 2025 – Collins Aerospace is expanding its Tajęcina facility in Poland by 4,000 square meters to boost landing gear production for commercial and defense aircraft. RTX employs more than 9,100 people in Poland, its largest workforce outside the United States. After more than 45 years in Poland, the company currently runs eight sites covering engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and R&D domains.
“This expansion builds on our proven track record of delivering high-performance landing gear systems that our commercial and defense customers rely on every day,” said Matt Maurer, vice president of landing systems at Collins Aerospace. “By increasing our manufacturing capacity in Poland, we’re ensuring we can meet growing demand worldwide for our products.”
Collins’ landing gear systems include the main, nose, and wing assemblies. They use high-strength metals to survive environmental swings. The gear integrates with steering, braking, and control systems for coordinated operation so as to improve performance and reduce maintenance requirements.
Collins’ Tajęcina facility first opened in 2012. Expansion construction began in November 2024 and is scheduled to conclude in February 2026.
