TAJĘCINA, Poland, June 5, 2026 – Collins Aerospace opened a $69 million expansion at its 22,000-square-meter manufacturing facility in Tajęcina, Poland. The project is expected to raise landing gear production output by nearly 25% for commercial and defense aircraft programs and add about 190 jobs this year.
“Collins is making a long-term investment in both the local workforce and the future of aerospace in the broader Poland ecosystem,” said Matt Maurer, vice president and general manager of landing systems at Collins Aerospace. “Building on the strong foundation established in 2012, this expansion significantly increases critical production capacity, accelerates growth, and strengthens our ability to deliver the high-performance landing gear systems our customers depend on around the world.”
The Tajęcina site supports production of main, nose and wing landing gear assemblies, with additional work handled by teams at at Tajęcina and Krosno facilities. Advanced landing gear systems are designed to support aircraft performance and reduce maintenance across aircraft programs.

The Collins expansion follows another RTX investment in Poland through its Pratt & Whitney business. Pratt & Whitney is investing $100 million to expand production capacity at its Rzeszów facility for rotating compressor and turbine disks. The project supports demand for Pratt & Whitney GTF, F135 and F100 engines, is expected to increase output by 30%, and is scheduled to become operational by 2028.
