WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, VT, Oct 6, 2025 – Concepts NREC has appointed Ileana Vitale as senior principal engineer to strengthen its turbomachinery design. Vitale will lead aero and mechanical design efforts for centrifugal compressors, promote technical excellence across projects, and support innovation in compressor solutions.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering with an aerodynamic specialization in 2001 from Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and brings more than 20 years of experience from Ingersoll Rand, specializing in aerodynamic performance customization of multistage centrifugal compressors.
Vitale brings experience in design workflow, from meanline modeling to CFD and optimization software. She has led R&D engineering teams and delivered new rotating machinery products from concept to production.
