WASHINGTON, D.C., Jan 2, 2026 – CoreWeave has joined the Genesis Mission, a U.S. Department of Energy initiative that brings together scientific institutions, supercomputing centers, AI platforms, and technology providers to advance research, national security, and U.S. energy innovation.

The Genesis Mission seeks to connect advanced computing resources, research facilities, and datasets across scientific fields. The program aims to improve U.S. research impact by helping scientists and engineers develop, train, and operate advanced AI systems efficiently.

CoreWeave plans to provide its AI cloud platform to support advanced scientific workloads. The platform is designed to deliver consistent performance across multigeneration hardware, helping research teams reduce time from development to deployment.

“The Genesis Mission represents a vital national commitment to accelerating scientific discovery and reaffirming America’s leadership in research and innovation,” said Michael Intrator, co-founder, chairman of the board, and chief executive officer of CoreWeave. “CoreWeave is proud to provide a secure, high performance platform that ensures advanced AI workloads run with unmatched speed and reliability, empowering researchers to focus on the breakthroughs that will shape our future.”

In 2025, CoreWeave launched CoreWeave Federal, a business unit serving U.S. government agencies and the defense industrial base. The unit provides secure, compliant AI cloud services. CoreWeave Federal is preparing its platform to meet federal requirements, including FedRAMP. These approvals support training and deployment of AI workloads for government use.

CoreWeave runs large-scale AI infrastructure for commercial and public sector customers and expanded its capabilities through the acquisition of Weights and Biases. The company continues to expand its engagement in national initiatives through infrastructure investment, policy work, and a presence in Washington, D.C.
