
LÉVIS, Canada, June 27, 2025 – Creaform has announced of a licensing agreement with HP to introduce the new HP DesignScan, a 3D scanning solution. This licensing agreement combines HP’s presence in 3D printing technology with Creaform’s reputation in 3D scanning. The collaboration aims to provide designers and 3D printing users an integration between 3D scanning and 3D printing processes, ensuring reliable results with accuracy.

The HP DesignScan is available in two configurations to meet different needs. One includes the HP DesignScan 3D scanner for creating 3D digital models. The other supports reverse engineering workflows by combining the HP DesignScan 3D scanner with HP Scan-to-CAD software. The HP DesignScan is designed for professionals and small business users. It provides a 3D scanning process that integrates with CAD workflows and delivers accurate measurements.

The HP DesignScan is designed for small to mid-sized companies, product development teams, and reverse engineering departments in industrial design and 3D printing. It offers an accuracy of up to 0.050 mm, a mesh resolution of 0.250 mm, and a measurement rate of 1,250,000 measurements per second. The scanner includes a color camera and a touchscreen interface for easy operation.
