Creality Integrates QUICKSURFACE for 3D scan to CAD

by | Dec 19, 2025

Integrated workflow links 3D scanning with CAD reconstruction, enabling engineers to convert point clouds and mesh data into editable CAD models for reverse engineering, part repair, redesign and prototyping
This collaboration brings an integrated scan-to-CAD workflow to engineering, product design, and 3D printing users worldwide — enabling Creality scanner owners to convert high-precision 3D scan data into manufacturable CAD models with unprecedented speed and simplicity.

SHENZHEN, China, Dec 19, 2025 – Creality has announced a partnership with KVS Ltd, developer of the QUICKSURFACE reverse-engineering platform. The collaboration introduces an integrated workflow that streamlines the process from 3D scanning to CAD reconstruction for engineering, product design, and manufacturing applications.

Creality’s 3D scanners, including the Raptor, Otter and Sermoon series, capture detailed geometry with accuracy up to 0.02 millimeters. The scanners support high-speed capture and multiple scanning modes for complex shapes and surfaces. When paired with QUICKSURFACE software, engineers can convert point clouds and mesh data into editable CAD models. The workflow supports reverse engineering, part repair, product redesign and rapid prototyping for manufacturing and engineering applications.

“Our partnership with QUICKSURFACE strengthens Creality’s commitment to delivering complete and accessible 3D solutions,” said Ross Luo, head of 3D Scanner BU at Creality. “Together, we provide users with a professional, streamlined path from physical objects to engineering-ready digital assets.”

About KVS / QUICKSURFACE

KVS Ltd. develops QUICKSURFACE, a family of reverse-engineering software tools used to convert 3D scan data into editable CAD models. The software imports mesh data from 3D scanning formats and supports surface, solid, and hybrid geometry creation. QUICKSURFACE serves engineers, designers, manufacturers, and product developers across automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, and consumer product sectors. The tools support workflows that move physical objects into digital models for design, inspection, and manufacturing. KVS Ltd. introduced QUICKSURFACE as a standalone product in 2019, building on earlier work in 3D scanning and digital modeling that began in 1996. The company offers multiple versions, including QUICKSURFACE Pro, QUICKSURFACE Lite, and a QUICKSURFACE add-in for SOLIDWORKS. The SOLIDWORKS add-in allows users to perform reverse-engineering tasks within the CAD environment. KVS Ltd. is headquartered in Cambridge, UK with additional operations in Sofia, Bulgaria.
