SHENZHEN, China, Sep 4, 2025 – Creality has launched the K2 and K2 Pro to its K series of 3D printers, introducing AI functions, multicolor and multi-material printing, and two build volumes designed to expand performance for advanced applications.
CFS-Powered Capabilities and Features
Creality’s K2 and K2 Pro support multicolor and multi-material 3D printing. Both pair with the Creality Filament System (CFS) for color changes or support materials. One can connect up to four CFS units for as many as 16 colors. One can also use a second material to create snap-away or water-soluble supports to reduce post-processing.
CFS works as a smart filament hub. With Creality RFID filaments, it identifies color and material type automatically. If a spool runs out, it switches to a matching filament in another slot, when available. When idle, the system stores filaments with built-in desiccants to keep them dry. A display on the CFS shows internal humidity and temperature, and how many CFS units are connected.
Ultra-Sturdy Metal Build
The K2 and K2 Pro includes die-cast aluminum alloy frame parts to support the toolhead’s movement. A steel linear rail on the X-axis resists wear and provides consistent precision. With a step-servo motor system, the printers operate at speeds up to 600 mm/s and acceleration of 20,000 mm/s². The K2 Plus reaches a maximum acceleration of 30,000 mm/s².
Next-Gen Performance Advancements
The active chamber heating (up to 60 °C/140 °F), coupled with an enclosure, a part cooling fan (K2 Plus has two), and a steel nozzle (up to 40 mm³/s) that is abrasive-resistant, allows the K2 Pro to tackle filaments like PA-CF and PPA-CF. While K2 does not feature active chamber heating, it performs well with ABS and PLA-CF engineering filaments.
Cameras for AI Functions
All three K2 models include a chamber-mounted AI camera that detects errors, including filament build-up and missing build plates. The K2 Pro adds a nozzle-mounted AI camera that auto-adjusts flow rate and detects waste chute blockages, improving multicolor printing.
More Features from K2 and K2 Pro
Both K2 and K2 Pro use Creality’s Smart Auto Leveling, which probes only the print area to reduce setup time. Both models include USB and 2.4G Wi-Fi connectivity, while the K2 Pro adds an ethernet port for professional use. A 4-inch touchscreen provides system control. Quiet mode reduces operational noise. K2 has built-in 8GB of ROM, and K2 Pro has 32GB of ROM -suitable to handle more model files.

K2 and K2 Pro is available in both standard and combo versions. K2 starts at $549 for the standard model, and $699 for the combo. K2 Pro starts at $849 for the standard model, and $1049 for the combo.
