VÉLIZY-VILLACOUBLAY, France, Dec 15, 2025 – Dassault Systèmes will deploy the SOLIDWORKS SkillForce program in Malaysia through an agreement with Taylor’s University and IME Technology. The initiative expands access to SOLIDWORKS tools and practical engineering skills for students entering technical fields.

Dassault Systèmes’ SOLIDWORKS SkillForce program provides students with certified SOLIDWORKS training and access to professional-grade tools to support internships and early career opportunities.

Under this MoU, the three organizations will work to strengthen talent development skills aligned with industry needs in Malaysia. Taylor’s University will deliver SOLIDWORKS training and prepare students for the Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) certification. The university will also support student enrollment in the SOLIDWORKS SkillForce program. IME Technology will develop an induction program covering SOLIDWORKS fundamentals and workplace-readiness skills. The effort is intended to support the transition from academic training into professional environments.

“Taylor’s University is committed to developing future-ready graduates for Malaysia’s digital and innovation economy. Through this collaboration with Dassault Systèmes and IME Technology, our students will gain access to industry-standard tools, global certifications, and real-world experience that strengthen their employability,” said Professor Dr. Sim Yee Wei, acting dean, faculty of innovation & technology, Taylor’s University.

“As a long-standing SOLIDWORKS partner, we are committed to strengthening practical engineering skills in Malaysia. This MoU supports our shared goal of building a strong talent pipeline for the nation’s growing innovation economy,” said Teoh Jia Yuan, executive vice president, IME Technology.

“SOLIDWORKS has always been about empowering people to innovate. Today, innovation is about cultivating the right mindset and capabilities to thrive in a world shaped by rapid technological shifts. As Malaysia moves toward a generative, technology-driven economy, engineers and designers will need the ability to connect the virtual and real worlds, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to more sustainable, human-centric solutions. By working with Taylor’s University and IME, we aim to prepare Malaysia’s next generation of talent with the skills, certifications, and practical experiences needed to succeed in this new era,” said Sharon Toh, vice president, Asia Pacific South, Dassault Systèmes.
