Doosan Robotics has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kwangjin Group to expand manufacturing automation. Under the agreement, Doosan Robotics will supply more than 100 manufacturing robots to Kwangjin Group. The robots will be deployed across Kwangjin Group’s domestic and overseas plants through 2027. The companies will integrate Doosan robot systems into production lines to support automated manufacturing operations.

Doosan Robotics said its manufacturing robot solutions reduced product defect rates to zero after deployment. The result led to a follow-up order and strengthened the company’s position in the automotive supply chain.

The robots can be installed without modifying existing factory layouts. The equipment supports human-robot collaboration through safety and precise operation. By reducing quality variation linked to operator skill differences, the robots help maintain product quality. The solutions also shorten production cycle times, increase productivity, and support plant operations.

Doosan Robotics and Kwangjin Group plan to extend their collaboration and will jointly develop customized robot solutions for additional component manufacturing processes. A task force will lead phased implementation planning and prepare production environments for robot integration.

Inwon Park, CEO of Doosan Robotics, stated, “This agreement reflects the strong trust placed in our robot solutions, particularly following the achievement of a zero-defect rate, which directly led to this expanded partnership. We will ensure the successful deployment of our solutions across Kwangjin Group’s production facilities and further strengthen our position in the global automation market through close collaboration.”
