Doosan Robotics received a CES Innovation Awards Best of Innovation in the AI category and an Honoree in the robotics category for its Scan & Go autonomous robotic solution. The solution is developed with Canada-based Maple Advanced Robotics Inc.(MARI), a partner of Doosan Robotics.

The awards, presented by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), recognize design and engineering across technology products ahead of CES 2026, scheduled for Jan. 6–9 in Las Vegas.

The Scan & Go is an AI-driven robot used in manufacturing and composite repair. It uses physics-based models and 3D perception to read complex shapes and generate tool paths from point-cloud data. The process removes the need for CAD modeling and manual code programming. The robotic solution also adjusts and refines its movements to support precise work on complex surfaces.

Mounted on a self-driving forklift, the system navigates and works across uneven structures such as aircraft fuselages, wind turbine blades and architectural façades. It performs sanding, grinding and inspection with minimal setup, shortening production cycles, reduce labor costs, improve work quality and increasing workplace safety.

The Scan & Go solution was developed to automate composite maintenance where workers face noise, dust, repetitive strain and fall risks. It uses a safety design (PLe Cat. 4), torque-based collision detection and fence-free operation to reduce on-site risks. These safety features support efficient workflows and are used by wind energy manufacturers to improve safety and quality.

“We are dedicating all our resources to developing AI robotic solutions that can be deployed immediately on-site and deliver results from day one, in line with the vision we laid out at the beginning of the year,” said Kevin Kim, CEO of Doosan Robotics. “Scan&Go marks the beginning of this journey. Next year, we will introduce a diverse portfolio of AI robotic solutions designed to address real-world challenges in industrial settings.”
