TAMPA, FL, Oct 3, 2025 – Draganfly has announced its selection by the U.S. Army to provide Flex FPV drone systems.

Under the initial order, Draganfly will deliver Flex FPV (First Person View) drones designed for high-performance operations. The company will also support on-site manufacturing of the drones within overseas U.S. Forces facilities. The goal is to speed deployment and reduce supply-chain timelines. Draganfly will provide flight and manufacturing training so army personnel can sustain operations. The company will also manage logistics to maintain a secure, NDAA-compliant supply chain. This step brings drone production closer to operations and helps reduce logistical risks while enhancing force readiness.

Recent exercises have highlighted the role of FPV drone technology in U.S. military operations. During the Swift Response 2025 exercise in Lithuania, paratroopers operated and detonated FPV drones against vehicle-sized targets. The unit also set up a drone lab for design, training, and development. In August 2025, the U.S. Army carried out its first air-to-air kill with an armed FPV drone. Draganfly’s embedded manufacturing program and Flex FPV drones align with this shift toward decentralized and adaptable innovation.

“We are honored to support the U.S. Army as it moves critical drone capabilities closer to front lines,” said Cameron Chell, president & CEO of Draganfly. “By combining advanced Flex FPV Drone systems, embedded manufacturing, training and secure logistics, we are helping reinforce operational agility and sustainment for forward-deployed forces. This helps ensure personnel have the tools, training and capabilities required when and where they need them most.”
