Econolite Names Hans M. Molin CTO, Umovity ITS

Molin will align engineering, software and product teams to advance intelligent transportation systems for safer, more reliable traffic flow

ANAHEIM, CA, Feb 23, 2026 – Econolite Group has named Hans M. Molin as chief technology officer (CTO), Umovity ITS to lead its technology strategy and execution. Reporting to Spiro Gjorgjievski, Econolite CEO, Molin will align product management, engineering, systems software and support functions to strengthen Econolite’s mobility solutions. In this role, he will oversee development of intelligent transportation systems that improve public safety and traffic mobility.

Molin has integrated technologies across automotive, commercial vehicle and mobility markets. He has developed and commercialized cloud and AI platforms, strengthening Econolite’s Umovity ITS portfolio and supporting market expansion.

Molin brings technology leadership across mobility and commercial vehicle systems. As CTO at Rand McNally, he led global teams across hardware, firmware, cloud services, data platforms, AI systems and SaaS applications. At Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, Molin held roles including director of connectivity and director of driver assistance and automated driving. At Iteris, he led product, engineering and marketing and launched SafetyDirect, an OEM-certified safety data communications system for commercial fleets. He began his career in engineering and program management at Volvo Car Group and Volvo Cars of North America, LLC.

Molin holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (Control Engineering and Business Management) from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. He also completed executive leadership programs at Case Western Reserve University and the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
