LIMASSOL, Cyprus, Dec 1, 2025 – ENCY Software introduced Robot Calibration Helper, a mobile app that helps engineers calibrate the Tool Center Point (TCP) of industrial robots and send the results to ENCY Robot projects.
Robot Calibration Helper links the robot cell to ENCY’s programming environment. Users create a digital twin of their robotic cell in the MachineMaker application within ENCY Robot and use that model to generate collision-free toolpaths. Accurate TCP data keeps the digital twin aligned with the real robotic cell.

How it Works
MachineMaker generates a QR code that, when scanned, connects Robot Calibration Helper to a specific robot project.
The app uses a two-tool calibration method that works across major robot brands and provides consistent results than many controller routines. Technicians touch a reference point with a short tool and then a long tool and record the XYZ coordinates from the controller. They also enter each tool’s overhang length in millimeters and its inclination angle. Robot Calibration Helper guides users through the steps and calculates the TCP relative to the robot flange. The app displays the result in a compact preview, and users can edit or recalculate the data at any time without relying on spreadsheets or external utilities.

TCP Data Transfer
Operators capture TCP measurement data by pointing the phone’s camera at the TCP values on the robot controller and letting the app read them automatically. This removes manual entry and reduces errors. Once linked, shop-floor measurements can be sent to MachineMaker with a single “Send to ENCY” action instead of being retyped from the teach pendant. MachineMaker keeps the operator and programmer in real-time sync, even when they work in separate areas of the facility.

Multi-Vendor Support
Robot Calibration Helper supports TCP calibration for industrial robot controllers used in welding, machining, and handling applications, including Fanuc, Kuka, Tormach, Borunte, CRP, Denso, Dobot, Estun, Hiwin, Hyundai, Motoman, Newker, Manutec, Nachi, OTC Daihen and Turin. This lets factories standardize TCP workflows with one mobile tool instead of maintaining separate procedures for each robot vendor.
By combining QR-based project linking, a guided two-tool process, and one-tap data transfer to ENCY Robot, Robot Calibration Helper gives production teams a reliable way to keep robotic cells ready for work. The app helps speed up commissioning, reduce manual errors, and make it easier for technicians to keep robots in ENCY-based cells calibrated over the life of the installation.
