TAUFKIRCHEN, Germany, Sep 9, 2026 – The ePlane Company (Ubifly Technologies) has placed a firm order with HENSOLDT for the avionics suite on its e200X eVTOL. HENSOLDT said the order takes the avionics out of joint development and into series maturity, with firm procurement now in place.
HENSOLDT calls the package the “digital nervous system” of the e200X: navigation, situational awareness and secure connectivity for urban airspace.
Six systems make up the suite:
- EuroNav 7 NG digital moving map handles navigation and mission management in the urban canyon.
- CaviSight visual landing aid switches camera feeds to give the crew an augmented view during takeoff and landing.
- RF1 Smart Antenna provides traffic awareness and alerts the crew to other aircraft nearby.
- CaviConnect establishes the secure data link between the aircraft and ground station for fleet management and health monitoring.
- EB1 Multipurpose Airborne Computer provides onboard processing power for mission-critical applications and prepares the platform for future autonomous functions.
- SferiRec LCR100 flight data recorder captures critical flight data for operational insight and data-driven fleet management.
Michael Groeninger, managing director of HENSOLDT Avionics, said: “We are proud to support ePlane in their mission to alleviate urban congestion. Our avionics are designed for the most demanding missions, and the operational profile of an eVTOL in India is the ultimate proving ground. Together, we are defining the standards for situational awareness in the Advanced Air Mobility sector.”
The e200X has moved from the design stage into a ground-test campaign ahead of flight trials and type certification with India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
