TRIESTE, Italy, July 17, 2025 – Esteco has released a plug-in that connects Dassault Systèmes’ Cameo Systems Modeler with its VOLTA platform, enabling MBSE teams to link system architecture models to simulation workflows. The integration supports multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO) and traceability within a simulation process and data management (SPDM) framework, helping teams streamline engineering processes and maintain consistency across system models and simulation data.

Responding to customer demand in the aerospace and defense sectors, the MBSE plug-in to VOLTA enables organizations to enhance traceability between requirements, analysis parameters, and simulation results, all within the SysML environment.

“With this plug-in, we’re enabling a more connected and automated MBSE workflow,” said Roel Van De Velde, vice president of aerospace & defense at ESTECO. “Our customers needed a solution that bridges the gap between system modeling and engineering simulation analysis, and this delivers exactly that.”

Key features include:

  • Integration with VOLTA repositories for retrieving, mapping, and linking analysis projects and parameters.
  • Bi-directional traceability between Cameo system models and VOLTA-managed simulation results.
  • Support for API-based authentication and project metadata search within the plug-in interface.

The plug-in improves verification and validation activities in the system development process, helping teams minimize rework, shorten design cycles, and meet industry regulations.

This launch supports ESTECO’s focus on open, flexible toolchains for digital engineering and on the advancement of MBSE across industries.
