BROOKLINE, MA, Jan 13, 2026 – Facility Grid has appointed Daniel Russo as its new chief executive officer. Russo joins the company from JLL, where he led Building Engines and served as president of JLL Technologies’ property management technology division, bringing expertise in enterprise software.

During his tenure, Russo led a team of more than 500 employees. He oversaw the growth of Building Engines into a platform for commercial property management software. In his new role, Russo will guide Facility Grid’s product strategy and long-term growth, with a focus on software development and operations.

Russo has served as CPO at Building Engines (BE), where he led product development, strategy, and technology partnerships. Prior to that, Russo led product organizations at Vista Equity Partners portfolio companies Lanyon and Cvent. As CEO of Facility Grid, Russo will oversee go-to-market execution and product development processes.

“We have a fantastic product and wonderful customers, and I’m excited to expand on this strong foundation,” he said. “In general, the real estate industry is fragmented, especially in the construction and sustainability segments, with owners using 15+ niche software products with fragmented data, making it possible to use AI at any scale,” he said.
