
CEDAR PARK, TX, Jan 5, 2026 – Firefly Aerospace has named Ramon Sanchez chief operating officer, placing him in charge of daily operations, production scaling and execution. He will oversee manufacturing for launch vehicles, lunar landers, and spacecraft as production volumes increase to meet customer demand.
“Ramon has a proven track record of improving and upscaling complicated space production lines in heavy rockets, advanced missiles, and high-performance spacecraft constellations,” said Jason Kim, CEO of Firefly Aerospace. “His operational experience in building cross-functional teams for diverse production systems, people leadership skills, and expertise in quality, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain supporting end-to-end spaceflight is a valuable asset for Firefly.”
Sanchez brings more than two decades of production operations leadership across commercial, civil, and national security programs at Boeing. A U.S. Army veteran, he has supported commercial, classified, and human spaceflight missions and scaled production for launch vehicles, space planes, satellite constellations, advanced payloads, and precision-guided missiles.
