SHANGHAI, CHINA, Feb 2, 2026 – Gausium has released WeatherSense Guard, a weather awareness system for its robot Beetle.  The feature supports outdoor cleaning by responding to changing weather conditions. It allows the robot to adjust operations to support safety and operational continuity.

Designed for diverse environments, the Beetle is an autonomous sweeping robot built for both indoor and outdoor operation. It navigates industrial settings and public spaces, including sidewalks, parks, and commercial plazas. The platform pairs cleaning performance with mobility and onboard safety sensing. The robot has demonstrated reliable operation in high-traffic areas while maintaining consistent cleaning quality.

Weather changes can disrupt outdoor operation. WeatherSense Guard adds rainfall detection to the Beetle, providing awareness of site conditions. The built-in intelligence allows the robot to adjust behavior by location, shifting from fixed schedules to condition-driven logic.

WeatherSense Guard protects the robot during severe weather. When the system detects precipitation, it automatically directs the robot back to its docking station. This response limits exposure to heavy rain, helping protect sensors and internal components while reducing weather-related wear and damage.

“Our goal is to provide a cleaning solution that is as reliable as it is intelligent,” said Lianyu Li, product director at Gausium. “With WeatherSense Guard, Beetle becomes truly self-sufficient. It knows when to seek shelter and exactly when to get back to work. It is truly weather-wise and outdoor-ready.”

Key Highlights of WeatherSense Guard:

  • Weather Awareness: Built-in intelligence for outdoor environments.
  • Automatic Docking: Immediate self-preservation by returning to the charging base during storms.
