HANGZHOU, China, July 29, 2025 – Nearly 200 robots are operating across the production and logistics systems of a greenfield excavator plant, deployed by Guozi Robotics for TZ Group. The project replaces manual workflows with autonomous coordination, enabling real-time control, flexible task handling, and round-the-clock uptime. Designed to address high-mix, low-volume manufacturing constraints, the system automates from assembly to shipment – setting a model for automation in construction machinery.
Production Re-engineered: Unlocking True Flexibility
Guozi installed a multi-robot collaborative ecosystem:
- Mobile-robot swarms at each station execute transfers via dynamic path planning.
- A matrix of robots, cobots, turnover units and other custom devices performs complex, high-mix operations without re-tooling delays.
- Contact-free power rails guarantee 24/7 uptime.
The project runs on Guozi’s Line-Side Control System (LCS) and MES, both developed in-house, to integrate data between shop-floor devices and plant management.
Logistics Reinvented: Centimeter-Level Orchestration
In the three-dimensional distribution network Guozi created:
- Materials are classified as large, medium, small and standard parts.
- ANTS lifting AGVs, PICKING multi-layer robots and heavy-duty carriers automatically interface with racks, pallets and bins.
- Guozi’s AI-driven RCS controls AGV movement with centimeter-level accuracy. It supports multiple parts request methods and combines dynamic storage with automated picking, providing visibility across warehouse and workstation operations.
Proven Experience Across the Industry
Guozi’s ANTS and PICKING robots are in use at lighthouse factories for companies such as Zoomlion, XCMG and Sany. The TZ Group project further shows Guozi’s capacity to provide integrated smart manufacturing and intelligent logistics solutions for the construction machinery sector.
