STERLING, VA, Dec 2, 2025 – Heven AeroTech raised $100 million in a Series B round that values the company at $1 billion. IonQ led the round with participation from Texas Venture Partners. The funding will help Heven AeroTech meet demand for unmanned aircraft systems from U.S. Special Operations Command, combatant commands, and allied forces.
Heven AeroTech develops hydrogen fuel-cell propulsion systems for unmanned aircraft. Its Z1 platform supports flight times of more than 10 hours and ranges over 600 miles. The aircraft is designed for defense, public safety, and commercial missions.
“Reaching unicorn status validates not just our technology, but our execution,” said Bentzion Levinson, CEO and founder of Heven AeroTech. “This capital will enable us to scale U.S. manufacturing capacity, accelerate quantum-enabled capabilities across our platform, and deliver long-endurance hydrogen-powered systems at the speed and volume our national security customers demand. We’re building for the battlefield of today and tomorrow.”
The new investment will be deployed across defense, public safety and commercial customers:
- U.S. Manufacturing: Expansion of domestic production infrastructure to meet customer demand and eliminate supply chain dependencies.
- Rapid Fielding: Buildout of hydrogen generation and logistics infrastructure to support forward operations.
- Advanced Systems & Quantum Integration: Development of quantum-secure communications, alternative positioning and navigation systems for GPS-denied environments, and AI-powered operations.
The funding follows Heven AeroTech’s partnership with IonQ. Heven will launch a quantum engineering unit to integrate quantum computing into its aircraft systems. The new division will develop positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) requirements for contested and degraded environments identified as priority needs by the Pentagon.
