APOLLO monitors metrology assets to improve uptime, measurement reliability and maintenance planning across CMMs and machine tools

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI, Mar 24, 2026 – Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence has launched APOLLO, an AI-based platform for managing metrology assets. APOLLO provides predictive condition monitoring for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and machine tools. The platform also helps quality and maintenance teams improve uptime, measurement reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

APOLLO supports predictive maintenance by monitoring machine behavior, environmental conditions, and operational status using AI analytics. It detects anomalies and identifies patterns linked to potential defects or failures up to 90 days in advance. This allows teams to plan maintenance during scheduled downtime and reduce unplanned production interruptions, while maintaining measurement accuracy and equipment availability.

The platform provides visibility into metrology performance as manufacturers manage production complexity and labor constraints. It integrates with Hexagon and third-party devices and presents fleet-wide asset health data across operations. APOLLO supports both cloud and on-premises deployment to meet scalability, data sovereignty, and cybersecurity requirements.

“Manufacturers can’t afford unexpected metrology downtime,” said Gary Peacock, vice president product technology software at Hexagon.” APOLLO brings automated intelligence to asset monitoring, enabling teams to detect issues early, plan maintenance proactively, and protect both measurement accuracy and production schedule.”

APOLLO replaces manual logs and undocumented practices with data-based analysis. It identifies underperforming assets and adjusts maintenance cycles based on usage and environmental conditions. This approach helps maintain measurement consistency, reduce drift, and support throughput while meeting quality requirements.
