NEW YORK, NY, Nov 17, 2025 – IFS Industrial X Unleashed, IFS Nexus Black and Anthropic are developing new AI capabilities to support key industries. IFS is launching Resolve as the first among new IFS solutions in a series that brings AI to frontline workers. The partnership combines IFS Nexus Black’s AI expertise with Anthropic’s AI capabilities in building safe and reliable AI.

“Partnering with Anthropic is about more than just their best-in-class AI models, it is also their commitment to responsible, safe AI – that’s non-negotiable when serving industries where, some days, life is on the line,” said Kriti Sharma, CEO at IFS Nexus Black. “These hardcore industries are where the real AI revolution is happening. It’s not the AI of tabloid headlines. It’s the lifeline for the workers that keep the lights on, the cupboards stocked, and the world turning.”

Introducing Resolve: Transforming How Critical Industries Operate with AI

Resolve is designed for technicians and field workers in sectors such as aerospace and defense, construction, manufacturing, energy, utilities, natural resources and telecom. Resolve uses Claude to analyze equipment images, compare sensor data and link patterns across inspections and operations to identify issues that workers may overlook. The system supports early detection to help prevent equipment failures.

These industries face aging infrastructure, workforce gaps and unstable supply chains while managing demand from re-industrialization and AI infrastructure projects.

These sectors lack support from generic and consumer-grade AI, built for office tasks. They need scalable AI systems built for industrial applications.

“Anthropic combines frontier AI capabilities with the safety and reliability that industries require. IFS has unquestionable expertise in the complex realities of the industrial world – they have proven they can activate and apply AI in capital intensive and asset heavy environments. Together, we’re deploying AI where stakes are highest,” said Garvan Doyle, applied AI Lead at Anthropic.

Real Impact: Transforming a Scottish Distillery’s Operations

William Grant & Sons is using Resolve to reduce unplanned repairs and improve operations. Resolve analyzes plant schematics and sensor data to identify potential equipment failures and diagnoses faults. The distillery reports lower downtime and higher output, with an estimated £8.4 million in yearly savings once the business is functional.

“IFS Nexus Black understood our industry – they weren’t trying to apply something generic,” said Badri Narasimhan, chief technology & business growth officer for William Grant & Sons. “It’s been innovation that’s practical, fast, and actually connected to results, not theory.”

Transforming Disaster Response

IFS Nexus Black and Anthropic are applying AI tools to support disaster-response operations as weather-related losses continue to rise in the US. Last year, the country recorded 27 weather events, compared with 14 such events in 2019. Technicians play a pivotal role in restoring services after storms, wildfires and floods, working in difficult conditions to repair damaged infrastructure and return essential systems to operation.

Planners can restore power faster:

  • Predictive analytics assess which areas are likely to be hit and when.
  • Technicians are directed to highest priority sites and join the dots between adjacent power companies for mutual aid.
  • On site, Resolve advises on the repair based on image or video capture and automatically re-directs essential parts.

Resolve helps gas and utility companies restore power after severe weather about 40% faster than prior methods. The faster recovery helps keeps facilities such as schools and hospitals running.
