PORTLAND, OR, Aug 10, 2026 – The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC) has released IntelliCAD 15.0, a release that pairs LISP engine with AI-assisted CAD work and a new Drawing Compare feature preview.

Drawing Compare places two drawings side by side and visually highlights differences for review. The AI feature preview, available in IntelliCAD versions that support AI, lets users interact with drawings through plain-language prompts. Users can ask questions about a drawing, select entities, extract drawing information, and generate and run custom LISP programs from a prompt. The feature preview uses Claude, Antigravity or ChatGPT.

IntelliCAD 14.1 added support for loading protected LISP applications in FAS and VLX formats. Version 15.0 adds the VLISP-COMPILE function and Make LISP Application command, allowing ITC members to compile and load protected LISP applications. With the new release, the new LISP API is complete. The release also includes developer API updates, updates from the BIM and DGN special interest groups, and performance and user-interface refinements.

Shawn Lindsay, president of the IntelliCAD Technology Consortium, said: “IntelliCAD 15.0 is a milestone release for us. Completing the LISP engine modernization gives our members a stronger foundation to build on, and our new AI and Drawing Compare feature previews give them an early look at where we’re headed next.”

IntelliCAD 15.0 requires a 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows 10 or Windows 11. IntelliCAD Mobile Viewer is available for Windows desktop and Google Android. Users can contact ITC members to learn when IntelliCAD 15.0-based products will be available.

About the IntelliCAD Technology Consortium

The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC), founded in 1999 and based in Portland, OR, is a member-driven nonprofit that develops and licenses the IntelliCAD CAD engine and development platform. The consortium provides a DWG-compatible 2D/3D CAD core to its commercial members, who build and distribute CAD solutions for industries such as architecture, engineering, civil surveying, manufacturing, and automation. Operating under a cooperative model, ITC pools R&D efforts among its members and reinvests over 75% of its revenue into core development. The platform supports millions of end users across more than 130 countries. ITC members receive access to source code, development APIs, technical support, and participate in governance, enabling them to create vertical solutions without developing a CAD engine from scratch. From its headquarters, the ITC supports independent developers in delivering cost-effective and interoperable CAD technologies worldwide.
