LAUSANNE, Switzerland, Jan 8, 2026 – iWedia and Realtek have entered the next phase of their collaboration to expand smart monitor functionality using iWedia’s AndDesk smart monitor solution on Realtek SoC platforms.
Building on an existing partnership, iWedia is aligning its TV software stack with Realtek multimedia chipsets for smart monitors. The effort focuses on integrating software and silicon to support work and entertainment use cases on advanced smart monitors.
AndDesk combines iWedia’s TV software with Realtek Soc designs to expand smart monitor functionality beyond traditional displays. AndDesk platform integrates productivity applications, video conferencing, web access, and AI chatbot support into a single monitor-based system. By linking television, computing, and mobile use cases, AndDesk enables work and media tasks on one platform while maintaining optimized multimedia performance. Supported applications include Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive), Zoom, Teams, web browsers, and AI chatbots.
Designed for manufacturers and OEMs, AndDesk simplifies smart monitor development by reducing integration effort. The solution supports faster launches, ongoing software maintenance, certification compliance, lifecycle management, and consistent end-user experience.
Zivko Radonjic, business development director at iWedia said: “AndDesk demonstrates how reliable software, paired with robust hardware, can create scalable opportunities for OEMs entering this exciting new display category. We’re proud to be driving that innovation together with Realtek. Our joint focus is long-term customer success — helping brands deliver new experiences while maintaining reliability, efficiency, and global scalability.”
Yee-Wei Huang, Realtek’s vice president added, “With iWedia’s AndDesk software stack optimized for Realtek SoCs, we’re redefining what smart monitors can do. Together, we empower OEMs to deliver smarter, faster, and more adaptable devices for modern lifestyles — backed by the same level of quality and support our customers expect from both Realtek and iWedia.”
Both companies position the smart monitor technology as a ready-to-deploy option for manufacturers seeking smart monitors that balance performance, usability, and cost efficiency.
At CES 2026, iWedia and Realtek are presenting live demonstrations of the AndDesk Smart Monitor Solution to show how the platform integrates productivity and user interface features.
