JETCAM has released version 25.12 of the JETCAM Expert CAD/CAM software. The update adds new tools that support workflow automation and production efficiency in sheet metal and composite fabrication.
Key highlights of this release include:
- Anti-Tipping Microjoints – Automatically applied on nested parts when using slat geometry files with Automatic Ordering or JET-Cut fly cutting functionality, preventing parts from tipping during cutting operations, avoiding machine head crashes.
- Auto Extend License Management – New automated license and maintenance extension functionality that validates soft licenses online with JETCAM servers, helpful for remote server environments where license visibility is limited.
- Ultra Performance Nesting (UPN) updates – Improvements to Ultra Performance Nesting (UPN) including new intelligent nesting direction options (‘To Corner’, ‘Horizontal’, ‘Vertical’), improved hole scrap utilization, and automatically renesting of smaller parts within holes of larger components, maximizing material utilization and leaving usable remnants.
- Optimized NC Code Generation – Improved speed across all generic postprocessors, especially when generating code for nests with large numbers of components.
- Improved File Handling Performance – Improves file opening performance for designs with many segments, including cases where intersection point calculation is enabled.

“Version 25 introduces features that directly address real-world manufacturing challenges while continuing to improve overall performance,” said Martin Bailey, managing director of JETCAM International. “The Anti-Tipping Microjoints feature alone will save manufacturers significant time and reduce potentially expensive head crashes by preventing parts from becoming unstable during cutting. Combined with new features such as Auto Extend, UPN updates and drastic performance improvements in several key areas, this release demonstrates our commitment to streamlining operational workflows for our customers.”
Additional enhancements include:
- Nine new postprocessors supporting machines from Murata, Pathfinder, Mitsubishi, HK Laser, Eastman, Boschert, Oree, FlexiCAM, and Houfek
- Updates to existing postprocessors to support new machine capabilities including JET-Cut automatic fly cutting functionality.
- Improved simulator performance with enhanced path optimization and simulation speed.
- Enhanced Remote Control Processing (RCP) with template nesting support and custom NC file path options.
- New hole size limit options for sheet usage efficiency calculations.
- Support for CrossTrack application integration via a new direct communications platform.
- Bug fixes and stability improvements across all modules.
