FRICKENHAUSEN, Germany, Feb 25, 2026 – Kontron Electronics has expanded its portfolio with the OSM-S AM62L, a compact system-on-module (SoM) compliant with the OSM standard. The module features a dual-core Arm Cortex-A53 processor from Texas Instruments running at 1.25 GHz. It targets embedded computing applications that balance performance, power efficiency, and cost.
The OSM-S AM62L supports compact, cost-effective embedded platforms in industrial and consumer systems. Common use cases include smart home devices, patient monitoring systems, EV charging stations, and solar gateways.

The module supports 512 MB to 2 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 4 GB to 128 GB eMMC flash storage, allowing flexible memory configurations for embedded designs. It includes MIPI-DSI and RGB interfaces to support human-machine interfaces. The OSM-S AM62L also integrates two Gigabit Ethernet ports and two CAN FD interfaces for networking in building automation, energy systems, industrial equipment, and medical applications.
The OSM-S AM62L supports fanless systems designed for continuous operation. It includes Secure Boot and cryptographic acceleration to support data security.
With the OSM-S AM62L, Kontron Electronics is introducing a SoM module based on Texas Instruments processors. The release expands its embedded component portfolio. By adhering to the open OSM standard, the module simplifies custom board design and reduces integration effort for system architects and developers.
Customer samples of the OSM-S AM62L SoM will be available in Q2 2026.
