LINZ, Germany, Apr 16, 2026 – Kontron will deploy cybersecurity systems across institutions in Central and Eastern Europe under a contract valued at about EUR 20 million, in partnership with Darktrace. The project integrates Darktrace’s AI-based threat detection and response technology into public and private sector infrastructure.
Under the agreement, Kontron will integrate Darktrace’s AI-based cybersecurity technology into target environments and deliver system integration and managed services. Most of the technologies and services covered by the contract will be provided in collaboration with Darktrace across multiple sites.
Darktrace’s self-learning AI analyzes network activity to establish baseline behavior for each environment. It monitors deviations from this baseline to detect threats and trigger automated response actions during operation.
The deployment reflects growing demand for cybersecurity across critical infrastructure in both public and private sectors. It also expands Kontron’s cybersecurity portfolio, including software and IoT-related services, and supports recurring service revenue.
The agreement expands Kontron’s cybersecurity portfolio, with Kontron set to operate as a Darktrace partner for future deployments in Central and Eastern Europe.
