
PARSDORF, Germany, Dec 12, 2025 – Alex Li will become chief executive officer (CEO) of KraussMaffei Group (KMG) on Jan. 1, 2026. He has been part of the management team as interim CFO since July 2025 and has international experience in financial management and corporate governance.
Alex Li said: “I am very much looking forward to the new role. Over the past year, I have had ample opportunity to get to know the business and the team. KraussMaffei is an innovative company, and I look forward to working with all employees to continue shaping the future of KraussMaffei and expanding our position as an innovation leader.”
Alex Li will replace Chi Zhang, who will resume his position as chairman of the KraussMaffei group supervisory board. Zhang spent two years as CEO, strengthening KraussMaffei’s global position and reinforcing its relationship with Sinochem. He also expanded the company’s activities and partnerships in Asia.
Chi Zhang added: “I will always have fond memories of my time at KraussMaffei. Together, we have achieved many successes. I am honored to continue supporting KraussMaffei in my new, old role as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.”

Michael Hofmann will become CFO of KMG effective March 1, 2026. He comes to KraussMaffei from the Putzmeister Group, where he served as group CFO and member of the executive board. He previously held management positions in Europe and China, including CFO and general management roles in the Diehl Group. Hofmann will strengthen the management team and support the growth of the KraussMaffei Group.

Yong Li, former chief administrative officer (CAO), will leave the company at year’s end and return to China for a new role within Sinochem Group.
