Lang Technik UK will debut a new automation solution at MACH 2026 in Birmingham. The company (booth #18-448) will demonstrate the RoboTrex Compact, designed for small component production. The system supports unmanned machining of parts up to 65 x 50 x 95 mm and a maximum weight of 7kg. It fits within a 2-square-meter footprint, making it suitable for busy shop floors. The company says the unit works with most machine tools and requires limited training, adding up to eight hours of daily production time.

Danny Brook, sales director at Lang Technik UK, commented: “Our philosophy is based on providing products that reduce set-up times, increase productivity and boost manufacturing capacity.”

“This is exactly what the RoboTrex Compact delivers in a uniquely small footprint. We are delighted that we’ve been able to secure one of the systems to be a focal point for our stand at MACH and that the UK market will get their first glimpse of the technology.”

He continued: “Visitors will be able to speak to one of our experts and see our latest automation set-up and run complex parts. We believe this solution will be extremely popular in the UK, especially for manufacturers looking to boost productivity through automation.”

The RoboTrex Compact uses a pre-installed Fanuc M-10iD-16s robot to move 5-axis vices between storage and the machine tool. The system connects to machines through loading options via the door or a side window. It holds up to 100 Makro-Grip vices in an integrated vice handling unit. Operators can manually change grippers to handle larger vices from the Makro-Grip 77 series.

Danny went on to add: “All of our automation systems are set-up to be plug-and-play solutions, and the RoboTrex Compact is no different.”

“This ensures fast installation, commissioning and minimal training, with the user-friendly operation meaning no specialist robot knowledge is required to operate it. Essentially, what this does is ensures all staff can quickly get to work on the system, supporting improvements in production and increasing productivity.”
