TOLLAND, CT, Jan 5, 2026 – Mastercam has completed its acquisition of Advanced Mechanical Engineering AB (AME) in Sweden, bringing a Nordic reseller into its operations and expanding its presence across Sweden and Norway. This acquisition brings AME’s expertise and customer base into Mastercam’s operations, strengthening technical support and service delivery in the region.

AME has supported Mastercam users in Sweden and Norway for more than 30 years. Following the acquisition, AME will operate as Mastercam Sverige, providing local sales and technical support.

“This integration is about more than growth–it is about strengthening our connection to manufacturers across EMEA,” said Stuart Adams, regional executive director-EMEA at Mastercam. “By combining AME’s deep local expertise with Mastercam’s global resources, we are ensuring customers in Sweden and Norway receive faster, more tailored support and solutions that truly reflect their needs.”

Mastercam has moved from a reseller model to direct operations, enabling customers to work with local specialists for technical support, faster issue resolution, and customized training aligned with regional manufacturing needs.

This direct customer model supports Mastercam’s growth strategy, which combines in-house development with targeted acquisitions. As part of Sandvik’s digital manufacturing portfolio, Mastercam develops connected manufacturing tools and supports manufacturers worldwide.
