RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Aug 25, 2026 – Mistral and HUMAIN have announced a collaboration in Saudi Arabia and the wider region covering AI infrastructure, model development, and deployment of AI solutions.
Both the companies will develop and localize AI models, starting with cybersecurity and voice. They also plan frontier models with Arabic-language. As part of the deal, Mistral will explore using HUMAIN’s data center infrastructure to support local compute needs.
The partnership targets sovereign AI, where data, intelligence, compute, and operations stay under the customer’s control. Data remains within customer-defined boundaries, models can be adapted and owned on open weights, and training and inference run on infrastructure and in jurisdictions the customer chooses. Customers can deploy, govern, observe, and improve systems over time without ceding control of the learning loop to an external platform.
The companies named financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and the public sector as focus areas. HUMAIN and Mistral also plan a joint go-to-market strategy in Saudi Arabia focused on AI solutions for regulated industries.
