LISLE, IL, July 21, 2026 – Molex has signed a long-term supply agreement with Prysmian that will double Prysmian’s domestic fiber capacity, as the companies respond to AI-driven demand for data center connectivity. Under the agreement, Prysmian will supply optical cables to Molex for up to 10 years.
The agreement will extend production of optical cables and fiber at plants across the U.S., including the glass preform stage, doubling Prysmian’s domestic fiber capacity. The companies expect the agreement to result in more than 1,000 jobs created by Prysmian worldwide, including 600 jobs at U.S. manufacturing sites.

The agreement is part of Molex’s U.S. expansion plans and its strategy to scale fiber cable supply globally.
