Nanosoft AS has released nanoCAD 26, the latest version of its CAD platform. The update adds tools to improve drafting speed and precision. It also refines core functions across the application to improve usability and consistency.

Native Command Aliases – Work Faster in Your Own Language
nanoCAD 26 adds localized alias files for French, Spanish, German, and Portuguese, enabling users to execute commands using language-specific shortcuts. These aliases work through the command line and dynamic input, reducing input steps and improving drafting efficiency.
Interface & Dialog Updates
The update revises the user interface to improve consistency across the platform. The status bar uses icons instead of text indicators, and dialog boxes such as Options, Profiles, and Text Decoding have been updated for consistent layout and behavior.
Enhanced Rectangle & Polygon Tools
Rectangle and polygon tools include additional creation modes and configurable settings. These settings are available in the Extended Properties dialog, enabling controlled and precise 2D drafting operations.
Smarter & More Flexible Snaps
Snap functionality includes configurable settings for behavior control. Users can adjust parameters such as object highlighting and snap triggers in the Options dialog to support drafting requirements.
New Text Editing Tools
The update adds text editing tools to improve editing efficiency and control. Enhancements include Text Align, Text Mask and Unmask, MText Formatting Reset, Auto Numbering, and Text-to-MText conversion, among other functions.
Advanced Layer Management: Groups, Filters & States
The Layer Manager adds tools for managing groups, filters, and layer configurations. These functions are available through an expandable panel accessed via the Expand Layer Filter Tree button, allowing structured control of complex drawings.

nanoCAD 26 is available for download and purchase. Users with active subscriptions can upgrade to nanoCAD 26 at no additional cost. A 30-day trial version is available for new users.
